Simple method to capture images of DVD moives

While watching a video from a DVD, you may find an interesting or exciting scene that you would like to capture. Capturing an image from a DVD could allow you to create unique wallpapers from some of your favorite movies or create a poster to hang on your wall. Whatever the intention, you can easily capture a screen shot using only Windows Media Player and Microsoft Paint.

Tuturials: capture image from DVD

1. Insert the DVD into your computer. Click "Start." Type "Windows Media Player" in the "Search" box and press "Enter."

2. Double-click the title name of your DVD on the left pane of Windows Media Player. This loads the movie onto your screen. If your DVD has a title menu, press the "Enter" key to play the movie or click the "Scene Selections" option to select the scene you want to capture.

3. Press the "Print Screen" or "PrtSc" keyboard key once you have found the scene you want to capture.

4. Close or minimize Windows Media Player. Click "Start." Type "Mspaint" in the "Search" box, and press "Enter."

5. Click the "Paste" button at the top of the Microsoft Paint window. This adds the image you just captured into the window.

6. Press and hold the "Crtl" and "S" keyboard buttons consecutively. This generates a "Save As" window on your screen.

7. Type a name for the capture in the "File Name" field, and click the "Save" button. By default, your capture is saved in the "Pictures" folder.
